“If God is not First…”

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness….”
“If God is not First in your life, neither will He be Second”

	 If one is carnal enough to put God out of First place, one won't be spiritual enough to put Him into second place. In fact, He will fall way down on the list if not toward last place. But God will not settle for any place but First. He is First of all or not at all.
	 God desires, demands and deserves to be First in your life. But there is a constant battle for this position. What is first this week may not be the next. God will not place himself in First place. If He is First, it will not be automatic or accidental but by the intentional and deliberate choice of each individual to place and keep him there. God being First must be sought after. [“Seek” is in the Active Voice meaning you are to do it. It’s in the Present Tense meaning do it now. It also is in the Imperative Mood meaning it’s a command and a necessity.]
	 Everyone has a First place in their life and it is never empty; always filled with something or someone. What or who is first will be what is most important, occupying your time, thoughts and attention, ranking in priority and preeminence. First place objects will have your devotion, service, sacrifice and financial backing. Everything else rotates around and is subject to the occupant of First place. Also you will fellowship with others that encourage and share your First place interest, and resent those that oppose them.
	 What is First to you is your Best but what is First to God is his Best. You can have either, the choice is yours!
