Pastor's Pen Look Alive! The Resurrection of Jesus is a doctrinal truth, which if Jesus had not arose as he said, then all bible doctrine would be destroyed becoming empty words. It also is a historical truth, a fact of history. But it is also a very practical truth and not just something that happened many years ago, failing to see any practical, everyday effects of the Resurrection in the believer. Paul said, "...that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body" and again "that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh." 2 Corinthians 4:10b, 11b. Romans 6:4 "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead..., even so we also should walk in newness of life." (A practical everyday walk. The believer living out practically or in practice, the resurrected life of Jesus Christ inside, in a very visible and real way through this human body before the eyes of men.) When a person gets saved Jesus quickens them (making them alive) and puts his life in them to be lived. How you and I live now either reveals or conceals the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! - Pastor Barry Rackley www.rbtonline.org
